The basis of Pro-Active Maintenance Ltd Environmental Management is our “Environmental Policy Statement”. This is our statement of commitment on the way we will manage our operation to minimise their effect on the environment.
Many of the policy statements in this Manual stem from this policy, the COSHH Register for example and “Working with Refrigerant Gases”. Pro-Active Maintenance Ltd will not be able to implement the policy if all our employees do not understand it and abide by it.
Environmental policy statement
Pro-Active Maintenance Ltd recognises that environmental issues are of fundamental importance to a successful and responsible business strategy.
Therefore we are committed to working with our clients in minimising environmental impact of our operations wherever and whenever possible. In line with our commitment to the environment, the company will:

Pro-Active Maintenance Ltd is committed in every aspect of its business to the goal of minimising environmental pollution.Its objective is to adopt environmentally responsible policies and practices throughout its operation whilst continuing to provide high quality service in design, installation and maintenance of systems.
Legal requirements
We comply with all statutory environmental requirements applicable to our business, in particular regarding the use of CFC’s and HCFC’s. We seek to utilise the latest developments in non-ozone depleting gases and we liaise with suppliers and customers to develop and apply environmentally favourable solutions.
We are aware of our legal obligations in relation to the safe handling storage, installation and transportation of refrigerants and other gases used in our systems.
Procedures are in place within our company, and with our suppliers, to ensure that those obligations are complied with. In particular we adopt environmentally responsible procedures in relation to the safe recovery of refrigerants from air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems and fire detection/protection systems.
We are enrolled on the GasSafe Register of Gas Installers and we are registered as waste carriers as required by legislation.
Our policies and procedures ensure that all waste generated by us in the course of our business, including recovered refrigerants, is dealt with pursuant to environmental legislation.
Internal Procedures
The Directors oversee our environmental policies and procedures. Staffs at all levels are committed to ensuring that environmental issues are considered fully when making decisions and when planning and controlling work.
Appropriate training of employees and sub contractors is undertaken to enhance their understanding of environmental issues and to ensure continued compliance with environmental legislation.
We monitor environmental laws and legislation and to review our policies and practices. Our aim is to ensure that all requirements are met or improved upon.
